Summary

Planity is an all-in-one platform for beauty and wellness professionals, operating in France, Belgium, and Germany. It combines an online booking system, a point-of-sale solution, and a suite of tools that help salons and barbershops manage and grow their business on a daily basis.

Beyond its professional software, Planity also runs a consumer-facing booking marketplace where users can discover salons near them, browse services and reviews, and book appointments 24/7, via web or mobile app. Today, Planity counts more than 15 million users, 60,000 professional partners, and 500 employees across its three markets.

In this article, Lise Alméras, Lead Product Owner at Planity, shares how the company uses Didomi's Consent Management Platform (CMP) to stay compliant, not just for its own platforms, but for the thousands of client websites it powers through its "Site Internet" offer.

Challenge: Ensuring compliance at scale across a multi-market, multi-platform environment

As a software editor serving tens of thousands of professionals across three countries, Planity faces a consent management challenge that goes beyond the typical single-website use case.

The company operates multiple digital environments: a B2C web platform and mobile app for end consumers, and a B2B portal and mobile app for professionals. On top of that, Planity recently launched a "Site Internet" offer, a white-label website solution for its professional clients (hair salons, barbershops, beauty institutes, etc.), which includes the Didomi CMP and the guarantee of a high-performing, adaptable consent management solution.

Navigating this complexity required a solution that could:

  • Centralize consent management across all platforms
  • Adapting to the regulatory requirements of each country and the specific guidelines from the CNIL in France, the APD in Belgium, and the BFDI in Germany…
  • Be deployed at scale without adding operational burden for Planity's internal teams
  • Offer a smooth, transparent experience for end users

These criteria clearly reflect the challenges that Lise Alméras, Lead Product Owner at Planity, had to face.

Our main challenge was ensuring that consent management was compliant with regulatory requirements, while remaining simple to deploy and maintain for our teams. We also needed a reliable solution to centralize user preferences, ensure transparency, and guarantee that third-party tools respected the consent choices expressed by users.

It was in this context that Planity turned to Didomi to find a solution tailored to each of these challenges.

Solution: A native CMP integration powering Planity and 10000+ client websites

To address these compliance challenges, Planity implemented Didomi’s Consent Management Platform (CMP) across its entire digital ecosystem. This deployment was structured around three key pillars: unified multi-market consent management, native integration into the “Website” offering, and UX choices designed to balance compliance with user experience.

A unified, multi-market consent layer

Planity deployed the Didomi CMP on its main B2C and B2B web platforms, covering France, Belgium, and Germany.

One of the key advantages that drove the decision was the automatic translation feature of the CMP, which greatly simplifies localization across markets, no need to manually manage translations for each country.

The "Site Internet" offer: compliance as a built-in feature

The most distinctive aspect of Planity's use of Didomi is the integration into its white-label website product. When a professional client subscribes to the "Site Internet" offer, the Didomi CMP is natively included in their website setup, seamlessly tied to their domain name, with a unified configuration shared across all sites.

This mutualized approach means that each professional client benefits from fully compliant consent management without any technical effort on their part. As of today, more than 10,000 Planity clients across France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, and other markets benefit from this integrated solution.

Our clients don't have to worry about these technical and regulatory topics. The CMP is there, correctly configured by our teams, and they are in compliance with the requirements of the CNIL and its equivalents in each country.

A thoughtful UX for the consent banner

Planity worked closely with its design team to craft a consent experience that balances compliance and brand consistency. The banner follows a centered modal format, on a white background with rounded corners, in line with Planity's clean, premium aesthetic. The CTA hierarchy is clear and deliberate:

  • "Accept & Close"  a black primary button, front and center
  • "Learn more"  a secondary, less prominent button for users who want granular control
  • "Continue without accepting"  a discreet text link at the bottom, GDPR-compliant without being highlighted

These UX choices, combined with Didomi’s recommendations, are directly reflected in the performance achieved.

Results: A 81.9% consent rate and compliance for an entire ecosystem

By following Didomi's best practices and recommendations, Planity has achieved strong consent performance across its platforms:

  • 81.9% consent rate (last 14 days)
  • 54.8% opt-in rate
  • CMP deployed on 10,000 websites  including Planity's own platforms and client sites across multiple countries

These results reflect both the quality of the banner design and the effectiveness of Didomi's guidance in helping Planity follow industry best practices. To go further and put these performance results into market context, explore all the 2026 privacy trends in our Data Privacy Benchmark 2026.

Beyond the numbers, Planity highlights the value of compliance confidence, the peace of mind that comes from knowing their entire ecosystem, including thousands of client websites, is properly managed.

Didomi allows us to stay serene on these topics while focusing on our business priorities.

- Lise Alméras, Lead Product Owner at Planity

One of the aspects Planity values in its relationship with Didomi is the quality of the support and the proactive communication around regulatory changes.

The support we receive is very good and professional. The teams are responsive and bring clear answers to our questions. We particularly appreciate being informed in advance of legal or regulatory developments, it allows us to stay compliant without having to monitor all these changes ourselves.
