As we’re wrapping up the summer (and Q3) already, there’s no better time to reflect on the work delivered over the past few months, and share with you some of the main product updates achieved at Didomi.
Didomi and Sourcepoint joined forces to build the future of privacy tech
The biggest news of the summer for Didomi was undoubtedly our acquisition of Sourcepoint, which we announced in July, on the heels of our fundraising and acquisition of server-side tracking solution Addingwell last April.

Sourcepoint is a historic player in the consent management and data privacy management space, particularly active in the publishing sector, with a strong team, and helping major enterprise companies face their data privacy and monetization challenges.
In his most recent LinkedIn article, our CEO, Romain Gauthier, highlighted the long-standing relationship between Didomi and Sourcepoint over the years that led to the deal:
“On a personal note, I can’t recall a key enterprise client for which we did not fiercely compete against Sourcepoint over the years, especially in the publisher/media space, where they became the leading solution provider for the most respected global media brands.
(...) Over the years, Didomi and Sourcepoint became very complementary companies with respective strengths in all leading European markets (UK, DACH, FR, ES, Nordics) as well as in North America (CA and US). All these elements weighed heavily when the opportunity arose to discuss a potential operation with Ben Barokas and Brian Kane.
What won the decision was the shared culture and vision to redefine privacy as a strategic growth lever, not a constraint. Joining forces just made sense.

In the future, we aim to deliver a unified privacy platform that covers everything from consent and preference orchestration to server-side enforcement and data activation. Our goal in joining forces is to invest in innovation and offer a leading roadmap that addresses our clients’ challenges of today and tomorrow. We are committed to sharing updates regularly and providing transparency as we shape the future roadmap together.
We’re excited for what’s to come, and can’t wait to reveal more about what we have in store. The news of the operation was picked up by numerous outlets across our key markets, including AdExchanger. AdZine, and l’Usine Digitale. Learn more in our press release:

Didomi product updates: Summer 2025
While the Sourcepoint news took center stage (understandably), a lot more has been happening behind the scenes, including some significant updates to our offering.
Didomi released its custom Consent String and Signature
Towards the end of the summer, the Didomi team announced the release of the Didomi Consent String and Signature, two innovations that are part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen both performance and trust in consent management:
- The Didomi Consent String is a new, lightweight format that replaces the traditional JSON-based Didomi token, making consent data smaller and faster to process (which means quicker load times and a smoother user experience for end-users).
- The new Signature feature brings cryptographic verification to consent strings. Ensuring that each consent string is tied to the correct domain and cannot be altered downstream adds an extra layer of security and reliability (critical for audits, compliance checks, and partner integrations).

Together, these updates mark an important step forward in balancing efficiency and integrity in consent management. You can learn more about the release and its benefits in our detailed blog post.
More product highlights
Notable product updates and releases from the past few months include:
- Accessibility: As the European Accessibility Act enforcement arrived, we provided updates to our out-of-the-box accessibility for mobile and web, ensuring that Didomi's clients are as accessible as possible.
- Global Privacy Protocol (GPP): Over the past few months, our team worked on reinforcing our multi-state compliance in the US, wrapping up final updates to our GPP integration. To learn more, check out our webinar with IAB on the topic.
- Server-Side Infrastructure: We've made Didomi's support for server-side infrastructure easier and more intuitive to put in place, whether through NS delegation or through reverse proxies, and delivered new event monitoring features in our server-side tagging solution, Addingwell by Didomi.
- Cross-device and cross-domain: As part of building a seamless cross-device consent flow, many teams also look at their mobile apps. Our new Webview for mobile feature supports this by making it easier to align consent experiences across web and native apps. Here’s a blog post with more details on managing consent across devices:
