Summary

A few weeks ago, the Didomi team met with a select group of U.S. enterprise clients in New York to discuss the state of our industry, share our roadmap, and work together to build the next steps towards our product and business vision.

While we can’t divulge too much about the exact content of the event or the specific attendees, we felt it was important to share the reasons behind our choice to host these groups, the key learnings from these sessions, some of the topics that were discussed, and a sneak peek at the upcoming updates that might stem from it.

What is a PAG, and why do we host one?

A Product Advisory Group (PAG), sometimes called a customer advisory group or board, is an exclusive, invitation-only gathering of customers, partners, and industry experts. It’s designed to foster open discussions about industry challenges, market shifts, and product strategy.

At Didomi, the PAG is more than an event; it’s a two-way collaboration:

  • For customers, it’s a chance to connect with peers and Didomi leadership to voice their requirements and feature wishlist, and not only get an exclusive look into our roadmap but also influence it with their feedback, perspective, and insights.
  • For Didomi, it’s an opportunity to collect direct input from some of our customers on their requirements, vision for the future, and pain points we can help solve through our solutions. These insights help us shape a product roadmap that reflects real-world enterprise requirements.

Additionally, we invite leading industry voices to participate and share their knowledge with the group. This year, we were fortunate to be joined by Rowena Lam, Senior Product Director at IAB Tech Lab, to discuss some of the latest innovations her team is working on with Didomi.

Building together: Behind the scenes of our 2025 PAG

This year, our PAG took place in New York City. The heart of our growing North American operations and home base of the Sourcepoint team, which recently joined Didomi. This was the perfect location for key members of our global, remote-first team to fly in and meet with some of our biggest enterprise clients in the U.S.

Hosted in mid-town Manhattan, the day centered around three main moments and their themes :

Presentation: Server-side tracking as a way to take back control

Server-side tracking has been a key component of our product roadmap over the past year, especially with Addingwell joining us last April

The PAG was an excellent opportunity to discuss some of the opportunities presented by the technology, and to give the stage to Rowena Lam, Senior Product Director at IAB Tech Lab, who kicked off the day by presenting the work from her team on their trusted server initiative, something that was particularly relevant to some publisher clients attending the event:

I’m really intrigued by the trusted server framework; it gives publishers back some control over how they choose to monetize and share data. That’s exciting.

As we continue to integrate Addingwell’s solutions into our platform, this dialogue helped us collect critical insights from our clients that will continue to shape our roadmap for the months to come, and we are excited to showcase more soon.

Workshops: Compliance monitoring and artificial intelligence

This year, we hosted a few workshops, one of which was centered around our Advanced Compliance Monitoring (ACM), collecting insights from our customers on their monitoring practices and requirements, and how our solutions help them reach their goal every day:

Compliance monitoring helps us prove things in case of an audit. It also strengthens internal processes. For example, when marketing adds pixels, other teams are immediately aware.

- PAG participant

Another workshop focused on AI and how emerging technologies could influence data privacy, potentially facilitating (or threatening) current practices. This was a fascinating conversation to observe the different levels of maturity and perception regarding the topic, and collect interesting insights from the participants.

There are smart ways to use AI to make things more efficient: translations, A/B testing, cookie updates… but there still needs to be human review. That’s the balance.

- PAG participant

Some of the questions that have popped up were particularly interesting, centering around the scope and limitations of artificial intelligence systems in the context of data protection:

  • Who owns AI-processed or AI-generated data?
  • How can data deletion apply to data used in models?
  • Which jurisdiction applies when AI agents act on behalf of users?

Some of these questions were recently raised during our discussion with Austrian lawyer and privacy activist Max Schrems. Our CEO, Romain Gauthier, also present at the 2025 PAG, is actively exploring the topic. Read his latest quarterly CEO update on LinkedIn for more context:

Open conversations: From open mic to dinner

We ended the day with an open mic session for everyone to share their opinions, ideas, and suggestions, followed by a group dinner that continued the lively conversations (around good food), wrapping up an eventful day.

The agenda struck the optimal balance between shining a spotlight on Didomi’s priorities, educating attendees on broader industry-wide initiatives, and ideating collaboratively to inform the roadmap.

Didomi PAG 2025: What have we learned and what’s next

The 2025 Didomi Product Advisory Group confirmed that our customers value our focus on making privacy management faster, clearer, and easier. We were able to collect invaluable insights in a short period of time and to strengthen our bond with key customers who perceived the experience as valuable:

The event was incredibly valuable. We left with practical takeaways and new ways to think about our consent experiences.

- PAG participant

It was also a great learning opportunity, as participants explicitly mentioned their needs and requirements as they continue to navigate increasing regulatory and operational complexity, including the need for greater automation, simpler workflows, more transparent reporting, and greater flexibility.

We thank all participants who joined us in New York and look forward to continuing these conversations as we shape the future of privacy technology together.
